Experience a unique pickleball event in one of Europe’s most beautiful locations: in April, the Pickleball Clinic – “Train with European Pros in Crete” – will take place at the stunning Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort. Situated right by the sea, the four brand-new pickleball courts, featuring original Rebound Ace® surfacing – familiar from the Australian Open – offer ideal playing conditions with joint-friendly cushioning and a first-class playing experience.

Train under the guidance of renowned top players and coaches Karolina Owczarek and Caroline Nothnagel, who have both won numerous titles at international level. In intensive, professionally structured training sessions, you’ll work specifically on technique, tactics and match play.

Look forward to an exclusive training package comprising 9 training sessions of 90 minutes each, with a maximum of 8 participants per coach across two courts, to guarantee personalised, high-quality coaching. You can also look forward to an exciting tournament featuring at least 4 matches, where you can put your skills to the test in a competitive setting.

No free play outside of tournaments and training sessions is included. Additional court bookings can be made in advance or on the day, subject to availability and for a fee.

If fewer than 12 participants are registered, the pickleball services and the training package will be provided exclusively by one coach. In this case, there is no entitlement to a second coach.

The Kalimera Kriti Hotel & Village Resort covers an area of approximately 240,000 m² in north-eastern Crete. Situated right on the coast of the Greek island, the resort boasts beautifully landscaped Mediterranean gardens and several sandy beaches that stretch out into the crystal-clear waters of the Cretan Sea.
The Patricio WORLD CLASS Racket Club Crete, newly built in 2023, is sure to set sports enthusiasts’ hearts racing with 26 clay courts, 5 padel courts, 4 brand-new pickleball courts and an indoor and outdoor fitness centre.

Karolina Owczarek
Karolina Owczarek

Karolina Owczarek is a Polish pickleball player on the PPA Tour. In 2025 she finished as the overall leader on the RTA Pickleball Tour.

She came to pickleball from tennis in early 2024 and hasn’t really stopped since — European tournaments, and trips to China, India and Egypt along the way. Women’s doubles is her favourite, but she plays mixed and singles too. In 2026 she played MLP Mid Season Tournament representing team Europe, and before that Season 1 of the World Pickleball League with the Hyderabad Superstars.

She’s also a head coach at a pickleball center in Berlin, working with players in Polish, English and German. She coaches the way she competes: smiling, positive, not afraid to be funny on court, because players learn faster when they’re enjoying themselves. Having made the switch from tennis herself, she especially likes working with players going through the same thing, since she knows which habits carry over and which ones quietly get in the way.

Caroline Nothnagel

Caroline Nothnagel (38) is by far the best German pickleball player, having won several national titles, and is a key member of the German national team. Furthermore, she has held the position of assistant national coach/head coach of the 19+ national team since August 2026. Internationally, she ranks among the leading and best players in Europe – in the top three in Europe in singles (WS) and with impressive results in women’s doubles (WD) and mixed doubles (XD). After many years on the professional tennis circuit, Caroline discovered pickleball in mid-2024, drawing on her professional background in the sports goods industry, and has since been an active figure in the European professional pickleball community.

As a licensed Tennis B coach for competitive sport with the Bavarian Tennis Association (Bayerischer Tennisverband e.V.), she now passes on the practical experience she has gained in pickleball to new and other players.
